The Thread Drawing Series (video + prints) was my very first foray into taking things out of context and preferably misrepresenting them so I could define a new reality.
Today this creation receives yet another re-imagined reality. This time as an original black and white summer dress, one that serves your identity and experience wherever you decide to go 😍 Honestly, I SO LOVE doing what I do! Are you with me ...?
Background on the original Thread Drawings: I created shadows of yarn which were captured with a still camera. The still images were later imported into a video program and compiled into a seemingly endless loop, as the yarn works its way through one continuous transition. Playful compositions alternate, both on the surface as deeper into the space, while (mis)leading the inherent nature of the original subject.

Thread Drawing Dress
Easy to care for and keep looking like new! Machine washable (cold setting) micro-knit smooth fabric. Hang to dry. The fabric is naturally “quickdry” so you won’t have to let it hang to dry very long before wearing it again 😉
Dress falls mid-thigh. The fabric has a little stretch to it and runs smaller around the waist to accentuate the flare.
