topleft voyeur, 2008

For this piece I reworked footage from the top left corner only of the movie “Last Tango in Paris” by Bernardo Bertolucci. The resulting visuals narrate an autonomous secondary story line; sometimes with recognizable hints to the full screen potential, other times one may wander in a blurry, abstracted non-space.  The final edition of the possible other story remains subject to the viewer's personal and social sensitivities.
