sound with video projection - installation with yarn and resin on metal hangers

"Parlor" is a sound piece with a video projection on an installation. It deals with the ambiguity of language; the use and abuse of words and how their interpretation lies in the hands of the audience. More in particular it tackles conversations and dialogues among people where the main goal is to find a connection with others and thus be liked and/or be loved by them. It also touches upon being yourself – showing your true colors – or not. The installation with the hangers represent a gathering of human forms without their bodily shell, and the red balls on the floor as their life lines.
